“Great read! This collection of works is very entertaining in that it covers a spectrum of topics and interests. It is a delightful blend of humor, fantasy and insight into real life issues. The works appeal to different moods as well as provide insight into the mind of the author. There are light-hearted pieces as well as spiritual and inspirational pieces. Each work has its own personality and this book is well-suited to readers with a variety of interests and those who think on different levels.” – amazon.com customer review

“We have received a large number of quality submissions for this issue and the selection process was very challenging. Your entry, Solstice, stood out as a high quality creation. We look forward to publishing your piece in Mused - the BellaOnline Literary Review.” - Lisbeth Cheever-Gessaman - Poetry Senior Editor Mused - the BellaOnline Literary Review

“Wolf's Solstice verse is both lyrical and apropos.”- Jill Florio Editor in Chief (Mused Magazine)

"Awesome marriage of the visual and the literary. Great job." - CA Webb, of The Write Stuff, in regards to the video "Alone in a Crowd". This won the YouTube auditions to land Wolf on The Write Stuff reality show on CW. The show unfortunately never aired beyond pre-production vignettes.

"Totally blown away by Under a Sunlit Sky!! I am enjoying the heck out of it! Truly, it is w-a-y worthy of an even broader audience. Great work. AWESOME!" - Reader comment on Facebook

"Just wanted to give you some feedback on your book [Under a Sunlit Sky]. Yesterday after work I went to Stony Creek and as we were driving through the park with nature all around us I asked my friend to read from your book. We started with Odium- "Opium to your soul" Wow!- and as we went on and I read out loud the exhilaration and freedom I felt was indescribable! We sat by the water and it was honestly the most spiritual moment I have ever felt! So I just wanted to say thank you! Your words are full of honesty and vulnerability and I wanted to thank you for sharing them with me!" - Reader comment on Facebook

"I love you and your opinions, Wolf. Wrong, right, or somewhere in the land of who-the-hell-knows-what-he's-talking-about. I enjoy hearing (or rather READING) what you have to say!" - Reader commenth (in response to blog post “It’s just my opinion. I could be wrong.”

"I just wanted to tell you that I think you are an amazing writer and person. I downloaded your book [Under a Sunlit Sky] and read your sampling of poetry and they are both so wonderful. I just wanted you to know. In awe, - Reader email

Praise for the Banned Books Awareness Project-

"I really like that you do this, and I have actually read every banned book you have posted. The books they choose to ban are exactly the type of books I WANT my kids to read. These people that want to ban books disgust me, they live life with their eyes closed in a 'if I can't see it then it doesn't happen' ideal. That only works for so long, then curiosity sets in to a child that hasn't yet learned. I would rather teach them and settle that curiosity when they are actually wondering and I am able to guide them and answer their questions the right way."

"I can not express how important it is that children read novels, fiction or nonfiction, about the Holocaust, child abuse, and dystopian fiction. I'm going into secondary education as an English major. I'm not looking forward to having to fight tooth and nail to protect these books and the minds of the students who should be reading them but I'm probably going to lose my job several times over it."

"I try to share each week, if you don't mind, I'll continue. I have three boys who are avid readers, I think it's important to make them and others aware that it's their right to read what they choose, if they decide otherwise that's by their own choice, not someone else's. Thank YOU for giving me the opportunity to share this, your work is amazing."

(On the Banned Books Awareness series being honored 4 times as a featured article of World Education Network's website) "Good for you Wolf! You are bringing such awareness to others, such as myself, to things that most have no idea about! James & the Giant Peach, for example... my gosh! I loved that book! I was just going to buy that book for [my son] the other day! Told him it's a classic! Keep up the great work! Kudos!"

"Just read the latest Banned Book blog. Loved it! I was never restricted from reading anything growing up. I guess the way my parents saw it was there is no such thing as a bad book. I'm often shocked at the titles you list. You just keep writing and giving me ideas for books to buy just because I hate to be told what to do, read, or think!"

"Thank you for visiting and taking the time to leave a comment. Over the years, I have enjoyed putting together what I think is a pretty good resource for banned and challenged literature and issues of free speech. I was very happy to find your site." - Blog Moderator for the Pelham Library in Ontario, Canada in regards to my Thank You letter for a feature they did on my Banned Books Awareness series

"Love reading your articles on the Banned Books. I work at a library in a small community [in Wisconsin], and would like to print your articles every week and put it at our circulation desk for our patrons to see. Continue to keep up the excellent work. When Banned Books Week is over, we will still be featuring your articles that you write on our front counter. This is something that needs to be addressed everyday in my opinion." - Paula Chambers, via Facebook

Comments on the Across the Great Divide column

"Great article! I have been an investigator for years now, and still enjoy reading everything on the subject. [A] very well written article. I look forward to seeing more of your thoughts on the subject." via paganpages.org

"My good friend R Wolf Baldassarro writes a column for a site called PaganPages.org. This month, he covered spirit photography and asked for some of my insights into photography in general and as it pertains to the paranormal... To anyone interested in paranormal investigation and spirit photography, this is a must read piece!!"
- Paul Michael Kane, professional photographer and author of Captured: The Ruins of Eastern State Penitentiary

“Extremely well written for us who have little or limited understanding of what some of these anomalies really are. I think Mr. Baldassarro has given all of us a greater look into what paranormal research is really about, and I personally come away from this feeling like I have learned from this. I will continue to follow this writer and look forward to the next article." via paganpages.org
